"Challenge your thoughts and way of thinking!"
Our Mission: Through creative writing and participatory STEM projects, we assist rangatahi to explore futures available to them.
Tūhono - We collaborate with people, schools and organisations to create better outcomes for Māori and Pasifika learners across Tāmaki Makaurau.
Tautoko - We advocate for Māori and Pasifika rangatahi and their whānau to support aspirations in education.
Whakaoho - We guide, advise and influence educators to ensure effective change for Māori and Pasifika learners.
We have worked with Māori and Pasifika rangatahi, enabling them to write stories about their communities to influence policy and local decision-making. Using these stories, the rangatahi have a platform to voice their views.
In 2022, we worked with tamariki from Glen Innes School and Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Puau Te Moana-nui-a-Kiwa in partnership with the Tāmaki Regeneration Corporation.
In 2023, we worked with rangatahi from Glen Eden Intermediate School and Henderson Intermediate School. In 2024, we worked with rangatahi from Rangeview Intermediate School and Kelston Intermediate School. This work was made possible with funding from The Trusts Innovation Fund.
In 2025, we are working with rangatahi from Northcote Intermediate School.
We have published their stories and artwork in three books, which you can view in pdf format by clicking on the covers at right. Please contact us if you'd like a hard copy.
In previous years, we held an annual forum for educators across Tāmaki Makaurau to come together and share recent experiences, pedagogies and resources for the betterment of Māori learners across the city.
