YEP ‘Licence to Work’: Calling on businesses to offer work experience

Posted on 18 February 2020

YEP needs your support to offer work experience to help the next generation of workers.  When you join YEP’s business community you will be offering 14-24-year-olds the opportunity to gain the insight, confidence and skills to get work, keep work and create careers.

YEP is an initiative of COMET Auckland - Te Hononga Akoranga and supported by Employers and Manufacturers Association (EMA)

It covers:

- 18-20 hours of skill building workshops on positive attitude, willingness to learn, communication, thinking skills, teamwork, resilience and self-management.

- 10-20 hours voluntary work experience.

- 80 hours of work experience with a local business.

YEP and EMA encourages the business community to support the programme by providing work experience opportunities and employment.  What a great way to bring keen young people into your organisation!
